I am a sport and exercise psychologist working with people who are pursuing performance, a personal challenge, or a lifestyle change. My role is to help people to optimise the psychological elements of their chosen pursuit, get the most out of themselves and maximise their wellbeing. Whether the goal is a performance or health/wellbeing change, pursuing it in a way that both optimises performance and adds to, rather than subtracts from, a person’s wellbeing demands of them that they understand themselves, utilise their strengths and wisdom, and develop the skills to navigate adversity. Therefore, I work with people to help them understand how elements such as their thought patterns, emotions, motivations, habits, decision-making and physiology interact with what they are trying to do in life, and how to move forward in a way that is more effective for them.
