I run my private practice from my therapy room in Sevenoaks but also offer walk and talk session in three locations in the beautiful Sevenoaks countryside and online. I offer a free 30 minute initial telephone call and charge £60 for sessions thereafter. I provide a warm space to explore your past, present or future, which may help you understand how you have got to where you are today and how to make the changes you want going forward. Coming to counselling is an opportunity to be heard without judgement, prejudice or agenda and be valued for the unique person you are. When we feel understood by another person we often start to value ourselves and this can open up the possibility for growth and change.

As a counsellor, I work from a psychodynamic and integrative perspective, taking an holistic approach that recognises the interconnection between mind, body and spirit; the whole story of who we are. Together, we will explore how early experiences and wider influences of society shape how we think, feel and relate to ourselves and others, sometimes in patterns that may limit our happiness or sense of fulfilment.

My way of working is flexible, attentive and collaborative. Rather than following a fixed approach, I focus on what feels most supportive and meaningful for you at each stage of your journey as therapy should be a restorative process that creates space for understanding, growth and change.

I look forward to supporting you in a compassionate and holistic way, working alongside you as you discover healing, connection and hope.

I have experience providing emotional and psychological support for a wide range of issues, including drug and alcohol addiction, bereavement, anxiety, stress, and the everyday challenges that can weigh us down. I believe that counselling is not only for times of crisis — sometimes, we just need a trusted space to talk things through with someone who understands and listens with empathy. You can be assured that my therapeutic relationships are built upon trust and honesty, and I therefore, abide by the guiding principles set out by Just Therapy.

You might be navigating menopause, questioning your relationships, or coming to terms with a diagnosis of autism or ADHD. Perhaps you simply feel lost, disconnected, or unsure of your purpose.

I’m a qualified, NCPS accredited counsellor. I offer a warm, down-to-earth space where you don’t have to mask, perform, or pretend you’re okay. My approach is calm, compassionate, and conversational. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s going on for you at your own pace, with no pressure or judgement. I offer gentle challenge too, encouraging self-reflection while always respecting your autonomy.

Many clients find that over time they gain self-awareness, untangle a busy mind, and begin to notice patterns and triggers more clearly. Therapy can bring relief, a stronger sense of self, and decisions that align with your values. If you’d like to see how I might support you, I offer a free initial chat — a chance for us to connect and take things from there.

Hi. I’m Paula and I qualified with an MSc in Counselling Psychotherapy in 2017.

My practice is grounded in the Person-Centred approach, though with a background in holistic therapy and Traditional Chinese Medicine it is more Integrative.

I am a Teacher of Focusing, an embodied practice which developed from research between Carl Rogers and Gendlin. When it fits in a session, this embodied approach allows you to explore beyond labels of ‘anxiety’ ‘conflict’ or ‘low self-esteem’.

I work with couples and individuals over 18 years old. Themes that I work with are relationship and communication, your journey of personal growth, co-parenting, work/life stress and everything which arises from our developmental stages of life.

During therapy, the safe and confidential space allows you to feel heard and validated. As you reflect on the areas where you are stuck, you connect with your own authenticity and potential.

My practice is in Leek, Staffordshire Moorlands and online.

I offer Focusing Courses in Person and online accredited by the British Focusing Association and I am BACP registered.

Hi, I’m Lee Grant – a qualified psychotherapist working with adults and couples in private practice, both in-person (Welwyn, Hertfordshire) and online. I offer insightful, creative, and emotionally attuned therapy for those navigating anything from inner disconnection or a lack of purpose and meaning, to relationship difficulties, the highs and lows of parenting, and everything in between. I work integratively, drawing from psychodynamic, existential, and relational approaches, while adapting therapy to what feels most helpful for you. At the heart of my practice is a deep respect for how the past shapes the present, and how therapy can gently unravel any hindering layers of self-protection we’ve built over time.

My background in both the sciences and the arts brings both precision and imagination into the therapy room, an eye for what’s systemic as well as what’s symbolic. I care about how early experiences wire us, but also about how meaning, memory, and mystery shape our inner world. Having grown up across multiple countries, and speaking several languages, I also bring a cross-cultural sensitivity to my work.

I am imagining that if you are here, you are worried about yourself or someone you know, or perhaps you are a parent looking for support for your young person? I understand that when looking for support for gender-questioning individuals, there are unique worries and concerns that can arise, so you are in the right place!

I am an experienced therapist working in a secondary school in Hackney, where the need for support for gender questioning individuals is part of my daily life. I help young people navigate the often bumpy road to adulthood. With a non-judgemental, curious approach, I create a safe and open space where individuals can explore their thoughts and feelings, particularly when it comes to identity and mental health challenges. I don’t offer advice or hold firm affirmations—rather, my role is to listen, reflect, and provide a space where young people can untangle the difficult struggles they may face, without political influence or external pressures. My goal is to help both the young person and their family navigate these complex emotions with clarity and patience, creating space for open dialogue and understanding on their own terms.

It’s ironic that a large part of psychotherapeutic work is around trying to convince people that their perceived ‘abnormal’ feelings and behaviours are a completely ‘normal’ reaction to a set of, often very difficult life circumstances. For instance, why wouldn’t someone have a generalised feeling of persistent anxiety and low mood, when they have to live in what seems like a crazy and confusing world? In therapy, we can work toward a more accepting and benevolent view of ourselves. We can explore who you truly are and where you might truly want to go in life, without the harsh inner voices of the past. We can work together to help you identify self-defeating patterns so that you can find agency for change. Whatever your problems, whether you’re experiencing more severe trauma or just struggling with every day life, therapy can help. Whatever your difficulties, weird thoughts or feelings, we just need to sort things out a bit. This is the first step toward clearer understanding.

After training at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, I went into news broadcasting at the BBC World Service. Later, I spent 9 years in government Scrutiny and although I enjoyed the democratic process, after a considerable period of self-reflection and a revaluation of my life, I went on to train, and found meaning in working, as a psychotherapist.
